The rooms are older but clean and comfortable. I didn’t notice a lot of noise despite being next to the pub. It’s not the Taj Mahal but for the price it’s an excellent choice.
My husband is currently staying here and called me to say he was not feeling well. I immediately called to try and get something up to his room to help him. Bailey, who works in the pub, jumped into action and helped to get something to him. I am quite thankful for their help and support during this time. If for nothing more, this is a grateful testament to Bailey for her kindness
Went to sidetrac for lunch. Bartender was awesome. No kitchen so had lunch ordered from Lokal. Looked after me.

Newly renovated rooms, the best sushi restaurant in Alberta, and unbeatable value prices on long term stays!!!
Having been a patron on and off for over a decade, I can tell you that my stay over New Years was better than expected. The renovations have brought the place up ten fold. Both inside the bar, and in the rooms. Service was friendly and helpful, especially as I was booking in advance from out of town. You simply cannot beat the room rates. The sushi restaurant was decent as well. I would recommend the BMI to anyone needing accommodations while passing through.
Very nice staff!! The buffet was getting older so instead of charging us for food, they asked if we would help clean up by finishing the food! I was all too happy to say yes to free food! Nice little atmosphere and in their quiet time the staff has fun!
We did not stay here as we live close by. We attended the lounge, the Chinese food there is amazing. Best we've had in a while. They must have 20 Vlts there. We were there on a bingo night. Bingo cards are free you just need to bring a non-perishable for the food bank and the big prize that night was a 1000$. The lady calling was funny and called a few numbers and made them socialable. This meant when that number was called you had to drink. Lol. We didn't play bingo because we were not aware that it was bingo night. We had a blast anyway. If your not into loud Thrusday night is not a day to go to the lounge. Staff were awesome. Today Saturday August 30, 2025 4:30 pm. I dont know who the tall blonde with curly hair that was working today, but I have never had to wait so long to cash a vlt ticket. It was not that busy, crazy. Otherwise it was good. The food was as usual absolutely delicious.
